6820604Paradise Valley Oasis7892,1754/2listingmapJr: 11-12 minutes away, not too far from our old house and only about 6 minutes away from our dojo (i.e., second home for Aldon and me). Area doesn't have much shopping or dining within walking distance but has a quite a bit (from basic to high-end) by car ride of 5-7 minutes. Large lot over ½ acre offers privacy, and elevated plot provides some fantastic city and mountain views (including from the large living room window near the front door) to the north and east; the elevation continues increasing out back, so the view there is landscaping and the home that sits higher. Interior is quite nice and has some interesting design flourishes, such as the mixed-wood floors, the tin-paneled vaulted ceiling in main area, and the cinder block wall. Kitchen is very well equipped, though all the equipment means it has a lot less storage space than its size would suggest. High-top counter to eat at, but no separate dining space that I can see, though I think there's enough nearby living space that you could repurpose some of it as a dining area with a smart arrangement. Dual-pane windows, double-sided fireplace. Outside, there's mostly desert landscaping that's relatively low-maintenance, but without an HOA, you'll definitely want to budget for weed control, pruning and occasional replacement of plants/trees, and for occasional erosion control on that front hill. Back side of the house has a large covered patio that includes sunshades, facing out to a backyard that has multiple tiers because of the elevation changes.
